Enter your number, confirm the code we text you, and we'll ring you once so you can hear what a Call Me Awake wake-up call sounds like. It's free and needs no account.
Three reasons it works
-
It rings.
Alarm apps whisper; a phone call from a saved contact punches through Sleep Focus, Silent, and Do Not Disturb. We'll help you set it up in two minutes and test it before you need it.
-
It's in the right time zone.
Every call is pinned to a place. Land in Tokyo and your phone asks: "Move your 6:30 Los Angeles call to 6:30 Tokyo?" Daylight-saving edge cases are handled and tested.
-
It doesn't give up.
Didn't press 1? We call again at +2, +5, and +8 minutes, then text you and set off the backup alarm in the app. Retries never cost extra. Those gaps are the defaults; you can change them in Settings.
How it works
- 1. Pick a time and a place. 6:30 AM Tokyo time, once or on repeat. The place is part of the call.
- 2. Save our number. One contact card, and two phone settings so the call rings through.
- 3. Test it. We call you now and you press 1. If it doesn't ring, we help you fix it.
- 4. Wake up. A calm automated voice calls on time. Press 1 when you're awake.

For travelers
An alarm that fires in the wrong zone is worse than no alarm. Every call here is pinned to a place, and every time is shown with its zone.
Where will you wake up?
For example: a call at 6:30 AM Tokyo time (UTC+9) rings at 21:30 UTC the evening before, whatever time zone your phone is in.

Questions
Will it work in Do Not Disturb?
Yes, once you save our number as a contact and allow it through. On an iPhone that is Emergency Bypass on the contact plus an allowed-calls entry in your Sleep Focus; on Android it is a starred contact in Do Not Disturb. We walk you through it in about two minutes and ask for a test call before you rely on it, because we cannot see your phone's settings.
What if I don't answer?
By default we call again 2, 5 and 8 minutes later, then text you and, if you use the app, set off its backup alarm. Retries and snoozes never cost extra: one wake-up call is one wake-up call, however many tries it takes.
Which countries can you call?
Call Me Awake calls phone numbers in 32 countries today. The pricing page lists them. A country that is not listed cannot be added to a wake-up call yet.
Do you record calls?
No. Calls are not recorded.
Can I stop calls?
Yes. Press 9 on any call and every call on your account stops until you turn them back on. You can also reply STOP to any text from us, pause or delete a wake-up call in the app or on the web, or delete your account.
Is the voice a person?
No. It is an automated voice, and every call says so in its first sentence: "This is Call Me Awake, your automated wake-up call."
Can I get a wake-up call?
Yes. The first ones are on us.
