Delete your Call Me Awake account

How to delete it

1. In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
2. On the web: sign in, then open Settings → Account → Delete account.
3. We email a 6-digit code to the address on the account. Enter it, tick the confirmation, and the account is deleted. The code works for 10 minutes.

What happens

• Every wake-up call stops at once, including one that is ringing.
• You're signed out everywhere, and the app stops getting notifications.
• Your email, name, home time zone, phone numbers and sign-in identities are erased immediately. Your API keys are revoked at once, and your devices' time zone and push token are cleared; the key and device rows themselves are removed with the rest of your account within 30 days.
• The rest of your account's data is removed within 30 days.
• A plan you bought on the web is cancelled for you, with no refund. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it first: on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Call Me Awake and tap Cancel Subscription. Otherwise Apple keeps charging you.
• You can sign up again with the same address afterwards; it starts as a new, empty account.

What we keep

• Billing records, kept for 7 years without your name or email [counsel: confirm the legal basis for this period].
• A phone number that texted STOP, was reported as a complaint or was blocked by our staff stays on our do-not-contact list in plain text, with no link to you, so we never call or text it again. This is explained in the privacy policy.
• If you had a free trial: a keyed hash of the number that started it (not the number itself), with no link to you, for 2 years, so that number does not get a second free trial.
