Terms of service
Draft of 2026-10-05.
These terms are an agreement between you and [operator legal name and address] ("we", "us"), who operate Call Me Awake. By creating an account or using Call Me Awake you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
The service
Call Me Awake places automated phone calls, and sends text messages and notifications, at times you choose to wake you up, in the time zone you choose. It comes with a website, mobile apps, an API and an MCP server. It is not a general alarm clock and it is not a monitoring service.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 16.
- You may add only a phone number that is yours, or that its owner has asked you to use, and that you can receive a code on. We verify each number with a code before calling it.
- You may not use Call Me Awake to harass, frighten or annoy anyone, to call anyone who has asked not to be called, or to work around the limits, rate limits or the stop controls of the service.
- Keep your sign-in and your API keys private. You are responsible for what is done with them. API keys and assistants connected over MCP can create and change calls, but can never delete your account.
What we promise, and what we can't
We try hard to place every call at the time you set and to retry it as described on our how it works page. But a call crosses phone networks, your carrier and your phone, and any of them can fail or be misconfigured. We cannot guarantee that a call will ring, be heard or wake you. Do not rely on Call Me Awake as your only way of waking up for something where a miss could cause serious harm or loss, such as a medical, safety or legal obligation. Use a backup, and do the test call.
We may be unable to place calls to some numbers or countries, and we may stop calling a number that has asked us to stop. We may change, suspend or end any part of the service, and we try to give notice when it affects calls you've set.
Plans, trial and payment
- A wake-up call is one scheduled call. Retries and snoozes inside it are included. A call that nobody answered still counts, because we placed it. The pricing page lists the plans, what each includes and how destinations in other countries count.
- The free trial needs no card and ends after its days or its calls, whichever comes first. After that, a scheduled call is not placed until you have a plan or credits, and we tell you when that happens.
- Paid plans are billed by Stripe, or through Apple or Google when you buy in the mobile app, and renew until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep what you paid for until the period ends. [Founder: refund policy and tax wording.]
- We may change prices for future periods and will tell you before they apply to you.
Your content
The labels and notes you write belong to you. You give us permission to turn them into spoken text and messages so the service can work. Notes are checked and shortened before they are spoken: no links and no long runs of digits. Don't put anything in them you don't want read aloud.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings: see how it works and what we keep. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that causes complaints about calls, and we may block the numbers involved.
Liability
[Counsel: limitation and exclusion of liability, indemnity, and warranty disclaimer appropriate to the operator's jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.]
Law and changes
[Counsel: governing law and courts.] We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email signed-in users before it applies. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the change.
